Something has finally dropped the NH-D14 and the True Spirit of their topspots.

They came out of nowhere - I've never heard of them - and I accidently clicked on them - Then I read the reviews.

The Phanteks PH-TC14PE in 3 seperate reveiws has trounced both The NH-D14 and the True Spirit

In one of them it keeps up and only really shines with the extreme test (It keeps a 4.4ghz i7 at safe operating temperatures)

In the others its a good ~3C cooler than the 2 major league players in all tests.

They have a choice of colours too!!!

I'm glad I waited till new years to get my new kit, the NH-D14 is gonna take a backseat now, on with the TC14PE!

Well done Phanteks - well bloody done.

My thoughts as I read.

140mm coolers? That's fine for those of us who have been cases, but I know many people who cant' run a Hyper 212+ because their case can't use a cooler taller then 150mm. Pretty sure they won't be able to use one of these as well. I sort of wish someone would put out a high performance cooler, but fits inside of 150mm.

5yr warranty? It's a piece of metal. As long as your fan is good there isn't much to warranty...

$90? At first I thought that was a bit steep. But you get the warranty, excellent cooling, choice of colors, TIM which is rather good, AND two fans. I've seen plenty of reviews where they want you to drop ~$70 on the sink and get NO fans. If you really can get this for $90 then its not bad.

Yeah this thing sure is a badass cooler excuse my french :3

I would have deffinately bought one of these instead of my Noctua NH-D14 but I added 2x 120MM Aerocool Shark White LED fans with 83cfm/26dba so now it looks real gg. I like the high CFM/low dba that the 140mm phantek fans have but I am very pleased with what I have, take a look in my "more info > system config" I have a link to my build showing the modded D14.

Best part IMO is they are now selling these on Newegg.com ^_^

@ 4745454b, The Phantek cooler is actually shorter than the Noctua NH-D14 and I believe the noctua and hyper 212 are similar in height. Reason being is the Phantek doesn't have any pins sticking out the top of the cooler like the noctua and hyper 212 do.

I paid $89.99 for my Noctua NH-D14, $99 for this cooler is worth it imo.

The NH-D14 is still excellent - but I have been hoping for some competition for it. And here it is!

Im getting my new system delivered on the 3rd of January, I will post the OC results and Temperatures that I get once the Phantek is installed on my 2500k.

nice ^_^ I have my 2500K overclocked to 4.8ghz, max temps in BF3 were 48C/50C/53C/49C for the 4 cores :)

What color are you going to be buying for the Phantek?

Bluuuuu :D

It goes with the Asus Motherboard, and my Antec 1200

Im hoping to hit the Jackpot on the CPU lottery, I'm after 5ghz - Im a dreamer, not a realist xD

Stock to stock it's very impressive, the only already owned Noctua NH-D14 owners advantage is swapping out the ugly tan Noctua fans to higher airflow fans for higher cooling performance.

Replacing the Noctua fans with Scythe Slip Stream 120mm 110cfm fans yields some impressive results.

I like the color options with the Phantek, it's a definite contender!
