I have a hp dc5700 and the mobo is called Hewlett-Packard 0A60h.

What is the maximum size of HD that I can use with this computer?

Thanks

I think it's 2TB but that could be fixed with a careful BIOS update if there is one available.

Good luck!

It looks like you have the Intel® 963Q Express chipset on your MB. From the looks of it HP did not put out a BIOS update. Not sure if there are any limitations to that chipset as far as storage size is concerned. Sorry I could not help you out any further. Although a little more research on that chipset might be in order. I would still lean to the 2 TB size limit. Although, I think it might be the first or second gen of SATA connectors that might have caused the 2 TB limit. Not positive on that one. This might shed some light but not answer your question:

ok, good information. You are probably right.
Maybe I try to get HP to answer this. It has to be possible in some way :wahoo:

Have a nice day...
