Hi all what Im curious is if overclocking my cpu, or gpu (preferably with Sapphire Trixx) would make any significant changes in gaming such as Shogun 2, and Diablo III? From the basic understanding i have the overclocking of GPU would produce more of a noticeable effect on gaming fps and looks, and if thats correct would the cpu overclock be kind of pointless?

Thanks to all who read and offer advice

More about overclocking worth
  1. It's never not worth it since you will get some benefits. What CPU cooler do you have? This may help other people to determine how far you want to take your overclock.
  2. right now just the stock but im probably going to order this one from newegg based on the review of it from Tom's cooler article
  3. I would of suggested the Hyper 212+ around same price.
  4. Hyper 212+ or evo for that price range. I own a Corsair h60 and I love it. As for overclocking, yes, it is good as long as you don't go crazy.
