I just finished my first build. It's an i7 860, Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2. Now I want to start measuring it's capabilities, comparing them to others. What's the best benchmark tool out there for doing this? Are there good free options?

Also, what is the best way to measure the electricity used? Finally, how do I measure/track temperature?

For electricity measurement this is good:

P3 Kill A Watt Electricity Load Meter and Monitor

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 20a%20watt

Use Realtemp or Coretemp for CPU temperatures. Use GPU-Z for graphics card temperature.

Check the Windows experience index if you have it and use 3DMark for benchmarking.
