Hey guys, I'm planning on building a computer and here's what I got on my list:
-Intel Core i5 2500k
-16GB - 32GB RAM
-Nvidia GTX 550 ti or Radeon HD 6850 or 6870

I need help finding a motherboard and cooler.
I want to overclock my cpu and I don't want it to burn  .
I need a motherboard for <$150.
I'm thinking of a ASUS P8P67 Evo (only cross-fire x supported tho - no sli)
That will be about $139 with rebates, etc...

Any suggestions?
Ideas?

Thanks.

Save yourself some money and go with 8GB of RAM only? Use the money saved to towards a better CPU cooler.

Here are three good coolers that you can choose from. They range from $40 - $80 so you can make a choice on how much you want to spend. Higher is better:

As for your mobo, go with the Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3. I own this board, with a 2500k and I am overclocked to 4.5ghz right now. It was easy to overclock my cpu through the UEFI BIOS and the board does look really pretty as well.

hi are you in canada or the us.
if you are in canada check your prices with www.shopbot.ca/computers
if you are in bc or ontario ncix will match prices off this site you walk in and out with your purchase
Phantsks PH-TC14PE is another good cooler

NCIX pricematches Canada wide on any instock item=same for US at NCIX US site
OP as long as you choose a mobo with all the features you want with a 3yr warranty you'll be fine.
For best compatability mobo/dimms the CM Evo is a very good choice.
