Restore factory settings windows xp

I am new so please excuse me if i missed this, I have a dell 8250 desktop with the bsod and not much more info other than tech info: stop: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005,0x804d9a69,0xf89fd67c,0xf89fd378) can anyone help, I have tried, what seems like everything

Does the freeze occur randomly, or does it happen every time to try to do something specific? More information please.

I you want to restore Windows XP system files, go to Start->Run and type sfc /scannow. This will launch the system file checker, and will hopefully repair any corrupt system files.
