Hard drive partition causing space limitations

Having problems with space on the primary drive to the point where I can't print or scan. Hard drive has a 50% partition with the D drive having plenty of space available. How do I remove the partition without losing data to allow the system to access the needed space?

You want to delete or shrink your second partition, where a logical drive D: is alocated, and to realocate the space to the first partition /drive C: /, but without losing data on D: is that right?
If so - there are software packages for this like EASEUS partition commander, Paragon suite of tools and others.
