Could i replace a 5400rpm drive with a 7200rpm in a laptop with an i5480 process

i've bought a samsung RV511 S02UK laptop with a 5400rpm drive in it. could i replace it with a 7200rpm drive without any overheating or cutting out problems?

Check your laptop manual, but if you can't find anything in the manual I'd stick with the 5400rpm drive as the 7200rpm will put out more heat.

i've done it at work on a toshiba laptop, but that was an experiment, i wouldn't want to do it with something i've paid for myself. will have to stick with the 5400rpm drive. thank you hawkeye.
