Hi, I just dusted off my old laptop (Dell Inspiron 9100) Gave it a clean inside and out 100% dust free etc. How good is the Mobility Radeon 9700 for gaming? It's currently 128MB/128Bit dedicated.

I was hoping to play Call of Duty 4 on it. The specs are as follows:

CPU: Pentium 4 - 3.0Ghz 1MB Cache HT
RAM: 1GB DDR PC3200 (2x512MB)
GPU: Mobility Radeon 9700
LCD: 15.4 Widescreen 1280x900

How well will it play? Can it play on low-medium @ 1024x768? with decent frames?... I know the CPU and RAM should hold on pretty good, as I play CoD4 on a similer desktop spec and it plays flawlessly, but what about the GPU?

Thanks.

------------------------------ CPU: Pentium 4 641 - 3.2Ghz - Hyper Threading - 2MB Cache - 800Mhz FSB - 65nm
RAM: 2GB DDR2 Dell 800Mhz
GPU: 8600GTS 256MB GDDR3
HDD: 160GB Maxtor Sata II 7,200RPM

I found an old Benchmark for Call of Duty 1. @ 1024x768 the Mobility Radeon 9700 gives out 70FPS on medium. But Call of Duty 4 is based on the Call of Duty 2 engine, I couldn't find any benchmarks for CoD2.

Here are the specifications for the GPU:

^^ 10FPS? Damn man. With a 7200GS I can get around 40FPS on low @ 1024x768. And that was only 64MB VRAM on that card. How does somthing more powerfull, get half the rates?...
