Write protection on an SD card

Hello,
I use an SD card in my phone to hold all of my photos, but when i put the card into my computer and try to relocate of delete photos it says "the the disc is write protected, remove the write protection or use another disc. how can i remove the write protection?

There is a small slider switch on the left hand side of an SD card, check it's not in the lock position.
