i've bought my compaq cq40 for 12months and on the 3rd month of '2009' im using it, my screen had some line at the bottom and its become more worse. i have bring it back to the shop in karamunsing but they told me that they ask me to bring it back on february 2010 ,in purpose to change for are new screen . im so disspointed for the service that been given.
 
Then file a complaint with them. What's your question?

If you want to find a solution to that problem before they replace your screen then we'll try to help your troubleshoot to find the problem (it does sound like your screen though but it is possible it is your graphics card or chip).

If you would prefer to purchase a new screen rather than wait for their (wow 2 months waiting?) slow customer service, then we'll help you pick a new one at a good price.

If you would rather wait, you could move your taskbar to the top of the screen until you get your new screen to avoid the line at the bottom. If you need help with that tell us what your operating system is.
