GA-X58A-UD5 in Windows Vista driver issue

So I just installed my new mobo and i7 930 yesterday, and all the drivers installed automatically through Windows, except the Marvel 91xx ATA config and the USB controller. Driver DVD from Gigabyte is a no-go, the DVD drive won't read it. The drive's not dead, it will read other DVDs, but the Gigabyte one spins a whole bunch but never shows up or autoplays.

I guess what I'm asking is a) are these drivers important, and b) where can I get them if they are?

Thanks in advance

wow. i'm having that exact problem with a i7 930 build on an x58a-ud3r from gigabyte. the problem persists even after changing out dvd-rw drives and windows reinstall. however, my computer doesn't seem to detect any driver cd's but it will detect audio cd's.
