Please feel free to criticize this build. It will primarily be for my girlfriend (and me occasionally) for gaming. SLI will probably be used in the future, when the price of a second GTX 275 is reasonable. Also, if you can recommend a good 1080p monitor that would be awesome. I don't know much when it comes to displays.

Everything looks great to me. However, do you plan on partitioning off the HD, i.e. a partition for the OS, one for apps, etc...? If not, I would suggest maybe another, smaller HD for your OS. I like to do so to safe guard my vital data and such, but that's just me.
I will be partitioning part of the TB for the OS, so one HDD will be fine.
I've been using nVidia for years., and haven't had a single problem with them. I just can't see myself turning to ATI over some benchmarks. I hate to sound fanboy-ish, but it seems as though ATI always has this "upperhand" but then nVidia always pulls through with something amazing and groundbreaking . So yeah, I'm pretty dead set on getting the GTX 260 or 275. I'm thinking something will come out before my step-up expires. My primary machine has a GTX 260 so if I took that route I would have the option of SLI in either one of the rigs in the future.

Nvidea's new DX11 line up comes out this mid December.

No problem lol. I feel much the same way, but there's this obligation to point things out . . .
