How to add aditional HDD in RAID 5

I am using 4 Hard Drive in RAID5 but i want to add additional Drive in existing RAID. Can any one suggest me how to install additional one and is it safe for my existing data.

What are you using for raid? Card, mobo, software? Which model of whatever?

This can only be done if your RAID controller supports this functionality otherwise you will need to re-create the RAID 5 from scratch.
