Video card VS monitor resolution

many ppl has asked the same question, and i guess the reason is because
1- theres not a clear answer
2- the question doesnt becomes a sticky (which it should so ppl stop asking this)

"Whats the best video card for THIS resolution?"

let me get started, whats the best video card for a 1440*900 resolution (full detail and all the eye candy)

by "best video card" i meant the one capable of handling any game at that resolution with all the eye candy and zero lag, prefered fps average 70... and NOT an overkill...
