Unstalling multiple programs at once?

I'm getting a new computer soon so i want to uninstall a lot of the junk on my current computer. But the process is so slow as it is still loading the list of item right now. i know you cant uninstall more than one program at once on the default windows xp uninstaller, but is there anyway to speed up the process?

short answer is NO, Windows will only do one uninstall or install process at a time
