Can't access the boot menu

I want to re-install the operating system on my laptop but some of the keys are not working so when it asks me to press f12 for the boot menu nothing happens is there any other way to access the boot menu

Maybe your laptop has an F-Lock key which turns the F keys off? If its not that than you can try external keyboard.
