Hello,
I've just bought MS Office 2010, and it won't install on my son's computer (WinXP). I have removed all outdated MSOffice files using Ork.

The set-up accepts my product code and starts to install, but after getting about half way through it stops and says there was a problem with the set-up.

I've been at it all day and it is driving me nuts and panicking my son as he needs it loaded to complete a homework assignment due tomorrow!

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

You first have to completely remove a previous version of Microsoft Office, using the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, to remove any conflicting files or registry code that's interfering with the Office 2010 installation.

Other methods if the Cleanup Utility doesn't work (read the user's usefull comments if you need to)
