Display driver

hello
i've some doubts in android

1> If I want to change the resolution in android then ,is that sufficient to change
in skins or i need to change in Android driver??
i.e, android-sdk-windows-1.6_r1\platforms\android-1.6\skins\HVGA\layout
does that affect the driver level???

2> Is there any way to check that, specified resolution in skin is reflected in driver part
through eclipse?

3> While debugging through eclipse can we reach android kernel from the application?
