I am building my new machine, all comes does to about $1740-$1800. I got parts from all over the place to make the best match possible.
Let me know if this is good ,machine for this price.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 922
Motherboard: EVGA 132-BL-E758
CPU: Intel Core i7 920 (D0 stepping) , hopefully clockable to 4.0ghz we shall see once i get it

CPU cooling system: Prolimatech Megahalems Graphics Nvidia GTX

285 x2 (2 oof these babies) RAM 6GB DDR3 @1600MHz 7-7-7-18 ocz
Hard Drive Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB

Power Supply: Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W

Drives: 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive

Operating System: who the hell cares?

I know people will say wait for gtx 300, but the hell i dunno when its coming out and 3 months is toooooo long if it is in january

I'd say go for the 5870, but that is just me. It supports DX11. The only reason I wouldn't go to a GTX 285, and 2 of them at that, is they are not DX11 cards. Maybe get one, and then upgrade once Nvidia comes out with their new brew.

What res are you playing at? (2) 285's is ALOT of GPU power. What about a single 295? Just thoughts here.

OS? I care, Vista or 7 for DX10 games and future DX11.

I would be using my projector and mostly going 1900x1080 resolution!

Oh man a single 285 will run at that res no problem. Unless you want o MAX crysis, just get one.
