Hi

my thinkpad i1400 has gone into hibernation. when i restart i get
battery indicator, moon indicator, and the far right Z in a circle
indicator (not sure what this means)

have tried with no result:

- rebooting
- fn F4
- removing battery and rebooting
- holding down power button
- ctrl alt del

does anyone have other suggestions?

thankyou very much

On startup (when it's switching on) try pressing repeatedly when it starts
up, that might give u a menu, go for 'Last known good configuration'

- if that fails, try , that's *supposed* to load the laptop into 'safe mode'
regardless of what state it was in prior to hibernation; worth a go!

By the way, you'll obvioulsy have to remove power - ensuring the laptop is
completely powered off, before powering on and trying what i've said... i
know that may seem obvious, but don't want you sitting there gaining
arthritis perssing F5 for 20 hours.

Happened to my cousin...true story. Now writes with her ear
