New Fan controller and reporting fan speeds

Forum Overclocking : Heatsinks & Air Cooling New Fan controller and reporting fan speeds

I just recently purchased a fan controller for all my case fans and I'm curious whether or not it reports fan speeds. The manual is non existant and its pretty basic to setup.

I've used speedfan up until now and it doesn't automatically pick up the controller.

Judging from the look of the controller, it appears to be just a simple analogue control. I think each knob is just a variable resistor and simply attenuates the voltage to each fan to slow it down. Useful for reducing noise but make sure you have a method of monitoring temperatures when you're pushing your system!
I would continue to use speed fan to monitor temp and RPM or buy a temp sensor front panel.
