Hey guys,

I'm a casual gamer interested in buying a new computer. I've found two pre-built computers I'm interested in from Fry's; one of them has an AMD Athlon II X2 215 processor, which has a processor speed of 2.7 ghz, and the other has an AMD X4 9150e processor, which has a processor speed of 1.8 ghz.

I'm wondering which build should I go with? I don't know much about processors; www.cpubenchmark.com rates the quad core with a higher benchmark than the dual core, but it's processor speed is at a lower ghz. So which one is better for my purposes? I've been looking at the system reqs for some of the games I want to play, and they mention recommended processor speeds of 2.7 ghz.

Does the fact that the second processor is quad core compensate for the fact that its processor speed is lower? I'm really out of touch with a lot of tech stuff, and I need help to know which comp I should buy.

Any guidance?
