That might be a stupid question, but i'm new to this hdmi thing, so if i connect my tv to a graphic card through a hdmi cable, does that mean that i'll have audio on the tv already without needing a audio cable?

Only on some.

All the ATi HD series allow audio pass-through, for others you need to know if it supports an audio in which can add an SPDIF audio signal along with the Video, there are a bunch that do that, but they do require some kind of audio input to the card (SPDIF Toslink, coax, 2 pin internal).
