I have been thinking about a core i7 920 build for a while and these are the components that I have come up with, any comments or recommendations are appreciated.

Budget: $1300 for all the parts i have listed

Preffered wedsite: newegg.com

Main usage: Gameing

Processor: Core i7 920

Case: Nzxt Tempest

Motherboard: P6t6 ws revelution

Graphics Card: Nvidia Gts 260

Power Supply:CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX 850W

Hard Drive: WD caviar black 500 gb

You are spending a ton on a premium motherboard and PSU then buying a mid-range GPU. You would be better off with a new ATI 5850 (which is faster than a GTX 285) for only $60 more than a 260 and you will be set for DX11 when you want it in a year or two.

You could save $60 going with this nice EVGA E758-TR 3 way SLI/crossfire board.
