Heeeellooooo every body!

I have something in mind already but i really think i need your advice before overthinking a build on my own.

So I've got a virgin E8400 already, and i need to work around it for a budget gaming pc. My budget is arround 500$. I need a mobo + ram + cpu cooler + gpu + psu + case + hdd + the optical drive = ~$500 !!!

I'm going for the Antec 300 + Artic cooling freezer 7 pro so far, but maybe there are better alternatives for my budget needs.
Ima oc, as well as playing on 1400x900 or 1600x1050 (note no monitor on the $500 budget).

I would definetly apreciate some concern. thanks!

I like a good challenge. Here's where I'd be looking: If this is after rebates? I'm listing prices amir here.

Gigabyte G41 mobo $65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128388

9800GTX+ $100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133246

Xigmatech SS-1283 CPU Cooler $37 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003
While the Artic freezer 7 pro was king for a long time, look for something with direct heat touch pipes like this one. Its the next evolution beyond what the ACF7P did for us for so many years.

Best bang for buck drive out there

Which antec 300 combo would be better ? the one with the 550w psu or with the ea650w psu? is there a significant diference between the micro-atx mobo and the epu43-ud3l in overall performance, and oc?

Is there a way to fit a raid tech mobo in thsi budget ? i might upgrade to a SSD latter on!

Total is a little over, but you mentioned you want to OC, and this is a great board for that.

The difference between the two combos for the case/PSU is the one with the 650EA is cheaper and more powerful for any future builds you want to use it for and the case is the illusion so it comes with more fans and LEDs.

As for mATX vs ATX, if you're only running 1 GPU, shouldn't really matter as long as the board provides the connections you need. The G41 vs P43 vs P45, I'd go for least expensive. Stick with gigabyte, and you'll get good OCing. If you want to spend the extra for raid, look for a mobo with a southbridge that ends with an "R"
Of the 3 offered up above, only the P45 has it, so its an option you pay for.

thanks for letting me know that!

I guess ill cut off the raid ad on the mobo so i guess i'll want a good single pcie x16 mobo! what are the difference between Intel's G43/45 and P43/45 mobos ? is G43/45 a reliable choice depite its prices roam less than $75??

I'll go with the XFX HD 4870 , The 300 Antec+[some psu combo, i still don't know which one] , the samsung 500gb HDD , and the common ~$30 drive...

So they mix with $360 ! so im left with ~140$ for mobo+ram+cooler !!

Any idieas?! thanks
