I got my graphics card yesterday and was amazed that i could play COD 4 at 1280 x 1024 at meduim to high settings at AA turned off.
Its my 18th birthday in 10 days =D and im getting some games but wanna make sure that im going to be able to play them well before i choose witch ones. The games that i wanna get are
Oblivion
Bioshock
The orange box ( im sure that i can play that but i want it because its amazing)
Fallout 3
I really appricate your help and im asking you guys because i know that some of you game and sometimes the system requirments are not always right.
You'll probably be able to play them with decent settings. Might have some problems with Fallout 3, but other than that you should be OK. Don't expect to play them on High though.

Do you think that i could play oblivion on full settings though? Thanks for the reply
While it was a crusher back in its day, Oblivion is an older game now. I agree that the only game listed you'll have issues with is Fallout 3. Orange box is great, Source games are pretty easy on older hardware. I was playing TF2 once with a guy who had a P4 2.4GHz and the FX5200. He had everything off, but it was playable. Your setup is better then his, so you should be able to make it look ok.

TF2 has changed a lot since it first came out. It's actually a lot more demanding now with weather effects, particle effects and multi-core support. You'll play it, but not on high, especially not in heavy open fights (but do play it, I think I have 700 hours logged on to that game the past 2 years I've been playing it).
As far as Oblivion is concerned, medium-high would be my guess. I was playing it on medium-high with an X1950 Pro, but I also had a dual core. You'll see. Experiment with it.

you can play all these games on high with 1280 resolution, some with 2xAA some with 4xAA, with frames 25-30, even more.
You'd be okay with Bioshock and Orange Box. With Oblivion, you probably still can't max it out, but is should look good enough. Oblivion was built in the time that dual-cores were still gaining popularity, so I guess it really wouldn't require (but rather just recommend) a dual-core.
As for Fallout 3, it is a bit of a demanding title, so medium settings might be your highest there.

Ok with Bioshock but not Oblivion??? What r you on??? haha!
You should be able to play all of these games but maybe have to settle with Lowest detail for the more demanding games.
