hi the cpu repair shop said my motherboard is friend i currently own GA-M57SLI-S4 AM2 which has cpu of athlon 64 x2 3800

should i get differnt motherboard wll it fit the processor unit or i have to orer same exact oen this is pretty hard to find thanks

Newegg has (3) am2+ am3 sli boards that may work for you. If you don't need sli, you might go with a cheaper board in the 780 or 790 chipset. I picked up another frys combo today; they have a 790gx board with phenom 925 for $129.99 after rebate.
