Can i use ram from an hp laptop in a dell laptop?

I have a DELL Latitude D600 laptop that works pretty good, but it has been recommended I get more RAM for it. It currently has 512 MB. I have an HP that the harddrive crashed in and am wondering if I can move the RAM from the HP into the DELL.

More than 99% odds that it will not work. Laptop memory is highly non-standardized, both because each has to fit into some strange small space and because Dell can make more money by requiring you to buy their part rather than salvaging from a dead HP computer.
