New cpu doesnt work

i currently have a dell dimension E520 with a dell M/B. The model number is OWG864. Its chipset is the intel P965/G965. The CPU is the stock core 2 duo 1.86 Ghz, 2 Mb Cache. I just bought a Intel E7500 CPU, 2.93 Ghz, 3mb Cache. When i put the E7500 in, the fans came on but nothing else. Screen stayed black, no beeps or anything, just fan. I updated the Bios but still nothing. I cant find anywhere if the M/B will support the new CPU,i imagine it would but not certain...any ideas??

This Intel link http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=22212 will give the list of processors that will be supported by the P965/G965 chipset. Unfortunately, the E7500 isn't one of them.
