Dell XPS 410 failure

My computer has stopped working. I ran the diagnostics and everything passed except for error code 0F00:136C (IDE device failed, blank media or no media is present) and 0F00:286F (Optical drive DRAM test failed). Can you help diagnose whether i need a new hard drive? Or what else should I be doing?

Sounds more like a motherboard failure, since both your drives were indicated as failed. Is this laptop still under warranty? If not, I'd suggest you open it up to see if the hard disk and optical drive are connected to the laptop's motherboard properly.

I have a dell xps 410 desktop that won't come on all the poser is on i hear all the beeps and all the fans are working just fine is it the cpu and where can i find a repair manual for it?

^ You can use Google to find the online manual for your system.
The first thing I would do is open the case and check that there are no blown or buldging capacitors on the MB.
