What processors work with EM61SM/EM61PM?

I've been searching everywhere for hours. So either I can't search or I haven't found it yet. But I was just wondering how I can find out what processors are compatible with the mother board EM61SM/EM61PM. It's in an Acer Aspire T180 desktop.

Chipset : Athlon 64 / Opteron HyperTransport Technology Configuration
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 3500+ @ 2200 MHz
Physical Memory : 512 MB (1 x 512 DDR2-SDRAM ) NT512T64U88A0BY-37
Video Card : Nvidia Corp GeForce 7600 GS
Hard Disk : ST3160812AS (160 GB)
PSU is 300W

To be honest, i doubt you will find a processor that old for cheap. I cannot recommend that you pay 150 dollars for such a small increase in performance. Not to mention that the Acer specific Bios may not recognize it.

Your best bet is to save up a bit and buy a better machine.

Check your local craigslist for a 5000 or 5200. My Austin TX craigslist had a 5200 for only $30 yesterday. If it doesn't work, then you can get your money back easily.
