I picked up a computer off of Ibuypower, partly because i dont trust myself building my own pc.

The specs are as follows:

CPU: AMD PhenomII X4 965
MB: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P - AMD 770 chipset
CPU Cooling; AMD Liquid CPU Cooling Fan Syste Kit
Power: 700W

Computer is beyond expectations, except for the fact that it sounds like your turning on a bathroom fan when the damn thing is on.

I dont have it overclocked or anything special.

Any help with finding an AMD equivalent fan that is SUPER QUIET would be greatly appreciated....then i dont have to hear about it from my wife....i think you understand the urgency...

Thanks

Might it be possible to buy another fan to attach to the radiator instead of changing to air cooling? Or is the water pump contributing too much to noise?

Anyway, take a look at this page: http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

It's not always as up to date as it could be, but look at some of the low-noise Intel and AMD coolers. Most of them probably come with brackets for your system.. check with your preferred retailer.

Make sure the CPU pump is the only thing making the noise. I've seen extremely loud power supplies. I say that because you didn't specify which PSU you are using.

Its definitely the fan that runs the pump....i was considering swapping the entire liquid-cooled system for:

this case fan:
