so i got a sapphire 5850 so i decided to play crysis, (settings: HIGH, 8x AA)
and i realized that there was a line that went across my monitor, the line wasnt black or white
is that the card or monitor?

os: xp pro x64 (for now..)

cpu:core i7 920 @ 3 GHz
ram: 6gb OCZ ddr3 1600
psu: corsair 750w (i think its the tx or something)
monitor res: 1400 x 900.

Alright at that resolution you are probably getting tearing, turn on vertical sync and it should go away, i had a similar issue on crysis with my 4850, things just get a bit out of sync and it looks funky.

Wow, 5850 on a 1440x900 monitor. Your next upgrade should be a new monitor. I went from a 1440x900 to a 1920x1080 (HD). Fan-freaking-tastic by comparison. Crysis & Crysis Warhead @ 1920x1080, with DX10 looks awesome. :)

it is, getting a new monitor for xmas, and im getting the exact same res you mentioned haha, 1920 x 1080 :P

alright. thanks, i will try that, crysis is the only game that it happens with so i hope it works, i will post the results later today.
