Best Mobo for AMD 965 BE

HEYY guys im new to the Forum and im kinda noobish at Mobo and stuff
But i was wondering What is the best Mobo for a 965 Black E.
I have mediocre ddr2(3G)ram in my current build and i wanted to still use that and buy maybe another 2G
would it make a huge difference if i forgot about ddr2 and moved to ddr3 and just buy new ram ?

With mediocre DDR2, I would just go on to DDR3. Even if you 2GB of some low latency DDR2 1066, you can only use the timings of the slower RAM you already have. It just depends on what you want to spend.
