How to identify a mobo if it is defective already, w/o any tool or extra item to test it.. same with CPU how to identify if it is defective? it's really confused me both of two.

More about : defective mobo

Burn marks, blown capacitors (mobo), or damaged/bended pins (cpu). IMO, the only way to know something is defective is by testing it (try to power it up and see how would it respond).

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

1- Use prime95, this test all your system.
2- If you get some BSDO, depends of the code of the error, you can know what component is failing.
