External drive issues on XP Tags: Hard Drives Western Digital External Drive Windows XP Storage Last response: August 10, 2011 11:42 PM in Storage Share n30r3b3l August 10, 2011 3:43:27 AM I have a WD 1TB that is about 3yrs old. It has worked fine. Now everything works fine except the subfolders in one folder only will not open. It causes explorer.exe to crash. Hooked the drive up to a friend's XP computer and no issues. Any ideas.
