I have a NVIDIA GTS 250. With latest driver updates. My game Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour has its updates as well. I can't get anti aliasing to work on it. I tried using the apllication's options putting aa on 4. And then i tried using NVIDIA control panel and 3d settings to put 4 aa for Command & Conquer generals zero hour but i see no difference for the game whatsoever. There is a "ini" file for generals that i have edited and it has "anit-aliasing" which i changed the value to 4 and then back to 0 and there is no differenc whatsoever. I wonder what i can do to properly get aa to work.
Using the nVidia Control Panel, go the 3d section tree then click on the Manage 3d Settings. In that section and to the Global Settings tab, click on the
'Antialiasing - Setting' after clicking it, a drop down list will appear giving you an option to whether set the antialiasing to None, Application-Controlled, 2x, 4x or 8Xs.
Maybe this is the reason why you cant play C&C zero hour with AA enabled.
The Antialiasing feature of your video card is currently set to None thus the game uses this setting. Its better to set it to Application Controlled or to some other settings except to None.
that's what i've been doing. I've tried that. it's just for this game. Also, putting overide application settings for games that don't have aa in their menues doesn't work. The af does work though in NVIDIA control panel. Its just that with generals its got options where i can edit aa but, when i set it to something esle it doesn't show any difference whatsoever.
Using rainbow six vegas 2 for exapmle, i overide it's aa settings and put it on 4 but i still get aliasing on the game play. but when i do it throguht the application i get aa enabled. For G.R.A.W there are no sttings for aa to be enabled and do i can't sem to enable it on nvidia control panel (by overiding or enhancing) remember i am editing the settings but its not taking into effect. AF does work though with the control panel
