I have just done a clean install of windows with a new nvidia agp graphics card. I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from nvidia. I have a dell UltraSharp 2408WFP with 1900x1200 native resolution. When I set it to that resolution, the whole desktop does not fit on the screen. I can't see the task bar/start menu. If I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, it scrolls down there. I have to scroll around to see the entire desktop. Why is it doing this? I had a radeon pci video card before that did not do this. Also, I am now using the dvi connection rather than the vga connection I was using with the older card.

Thanks for any help.

I have tried the different scaling settings in the nvidia control panel but no luck. Any help?

You could try starting your computer up in safe mode and then changing the resolution from there. Also i would suggest making sure that all of your drivers are updated for your video card.

What happens when you switch back to the VGA connection?

I'm having a simular problem with my ATI radeon where the scaling is off. It sounds like this problem occurs with both brands.

It seems there is a limitation on the resolution over single link dvi. Can you verify that the output of the video card is single and not dual link dvi?
