hi people, i've made an AMD build and i would like to have your opinion on it. Also, i would like to know if you think the PSU i choose is enough to run that video card and CPU. Thanks in advance. For 3 bucks more, this RAM is faster: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231276 Tests show time and time again that latency is more important than frequency. Even if you downclock that RAM to 1333, I doubt you would get CL7 out of it. Better yet, get this combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.265385 Then you have an even faster GPU and CL8 1600... about the same as the CL7 1333. As to the PSU, I think that is fine. I see the OCZ 600W SXS going for the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817341010 Between those two I might have to flip a coin. However, I would probably go with the Corsair 550VX today: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] &Tpk=550VX Note the promo code and the hefty rebate.
