Eye can not honestly answer your question because the author of the linked article has not given a source. They may be fakes. fx 57 is the editor and napoleon is the admin.
a bit of trivia/rumor for the elderly. napoleon posted the first AutoCad pictures of the Black Brick GTX200. A preteen female posted them up @VR and it has been rumor fake rumor fake rumor fake fake rumor ever since. One for the road: SA and FudZilla have been in a rumor-fake battle for the weekend and there seems to be no let-up in the kissie kissie. Oh eye almost forgot Charlie, 2566 D., is rumored to be picking up his copies of fermie next week from "suryasans" Saaya in Tiawan woooo wonder what else he will be picking up

Well, when Nvidia has not revealed allmost any "information" about Fermi, other than it will be bigger than 5870 and that it will be faster than 5870, so any comparison charts at this moment are hoax...
But the heat is on. Nvidia can not play hide and seek very long any more. Hmm... well actually I am wrong and they can do it, but win7 release is getting near...

Im coming to the conclusion that nvidia will not be able to make fermi till the next shrink

Until the 5970 what about combining Nvidia and ATI on the HYDRA Big Bang Board.

One 5870 preferably an Asus for the Bios and a 9800 GTX2 .
One of the GPUS for the extra Graphics and one for the CPU... should boost a 860 into the Stratosphere... and beyond :o

DX 10.1 VS DX 11 can you see the difference?

http://s1.bild.me/bilder/3258511Snap_2009.10.18_21.20.31_002.jpg

Like with the jump from DirectX 9 to DirectX 10, you'll have to really concentrate hard to see what's changed
between the two versions. If you can even really tell which version is which.

DX11 can do more detailed shapes with less work because of tessalation, so the graphical difference can be small and there is ingrease in speed, or same speed and more detailed 3d-models.
But you are right. At this momet only some DX11 features are going to be used and most of the code is same, so the differences are small at the beginning.
Just hope that DX11 takes wind at creat speed and next generation consoles are not late...

Nothing new in those 'leaked' AMD slides, I could have done them two weeks ago. They may or may not be fake, but they are just telling the truth based on the facts we know already.

It is possible that AMD released these as a sorta official wake up to people who are expecting fermi to be something incredible for gamers. The only thing that fermi 'wins' at is in double precision, something that games dont really use. At best, fermi will be twice as good as g200, just like evergreen is twice as good as r700.

Hmm,
pic #1 has better looking armor (especially left shoulder plate)
pic #2 has a better looking face-mask

Overall, both are kinda bleh since DX9 Crysis looks way better than both. Whereas DX10 Crysis wipes the floor with both of them.

In the small pics the 2nd one is far better in many ways.

The leaked slides are an answer to several posts in another thread that turned into a flame...
Thanks for your opinion on AMD's statement.

In geometry, yes. But I think the texture on the body armour appears flatter. It's only one example of course.

Interesting: would you say that your photos are the same, better, or worse than mine?
If you would use the sources I just posted and post directly from them we could compare quality of photos again... ?

I see a summary of what is known of the Radeon 5xxx series and the Nvidia Fermi series, hardly seems to warrant a confidential rating. According to what I see, it seems all that is needed to beat Fermi in every metric is the 5950 (5850X2) - even in double precision performance - and I'm guessing the 5850 is closer to retail.

I believe you are the first in three days to comment on the subject. I agree and have been headed toward a conversation regarding these new Graphics cards and what they will be able to produce on a MSI P55 Big Bang MotherBoard @ Stock settings and mixed Nvidia and ATI Cards. Of course there are no benchmarks to date but there are people in the know and we have: http://event.msi.com/mb/bigbang/ days before we can experiment @ Home. 20Oct09 09 days to launch... seems too close for no benchmarks leaked or released... Is the BB real?

I do hope so because the 5870 is the first single card that can cover all the bases including TV at = or better quality than TV Sets can produce. The HYDRA Chip is the key but why is Intel not releasing an Intel MotherBoard w/HYDRA? Noone is speaking up so all we can do is wait... The 5870 had a brief run on limited numbers of cards in the last two weeks. My retailer received 10 Asus EAH5870s and listed them @$449.00. Four days later he has 6 in stock and the price has been reduced to $399.99. Could this mean 5970 sooner than later? 7/11, 5970 and BB all within a few days would make for an interesting December 2009... Ho Ho Ho

What a wonderful contribution brockh it is three days late but that's ok lol.
Are you referring to Domin. and fx57, Hard op or some other source of the ripped... fakes? The documents are interesting in regards to the
no-Source leaked-rumors but that was an intro to the thread for discussion. Your post is old news and can be deleted if you so desire but
it is good information and definately part of the short chain of fakers...

The number of chunty post you make I'm wondering if your more 'Femi' than 'Fermi', I think most people have decided that you're clearly a bit of a hairy axe wound.
