Hello!

Quick Question : Should I buy 1GB DDR2 ATI HD 4650 or Nvidia 9500 GT 512 DDR3 video card?

Gaming Computer.I'd like to play COD 4 with decent FPS and GTA 4.

Other Specs:

CPU : Intel Dual-Core E3300 (2,5 GHz)
MB : MSI G31TM-P35
4GB DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)

Thanks!

DDR2 with no matter what amount of memory will remain slower than a 512mb DDR3

So I am leaning towards the 9500GT DDR3.
But these cards are good only if you overclock them.

The cheapest cards for gaming standards is 9600GT/4670.
These are much better.

BTW whats your budget and what resolution you will be playin at?

If you can scrape a few more pennies and go for the 9600GT/ GSO ....These are mainstream graphics cards and are designed for gaming....the 4650 or 9500 dont fare well in games and i think ou'd be dissapointed.

The 9600 should be able to play COD4 @ max setting (without AA) on a reasonable resolution.

Avoid buying a 1GB card unless your gaiming @ 1920x1080p or above! You'll see no gain.
