I am going to install Vista Home 64 on a system I just built using an Asrock X58 MB. Do I need to install any of the available hardware drivers before the OS?

Possibly. Depends what mode your running your hard drive in. If its in ahci mode, vista shouldn't need an additional driver. If your running raid, then you will probably need to install the manufacturers provided driver for that.
