HD 5750 has the same performance as the HD 4850, same price, but uses about 30w - 40w less power.

HD 5770 is a little slower than the HD 4870, costs about $20 more, but uses about 25w less power.

Depends on how much performance you are looking for basically.

monitor looks good to me, but with that res, you might want to get a better video card
I'd say keep saving money, and buy the ati 5850
otherwise the 5770, cuz you'll need the performance

The GTX 260, HD4870, and HD4890 are also good options but dont give directx11...

All of which perform better than the options you gave and maybe cheaper.

And the spec of that monitor is unreal....no supprise its selling like hot cakes for that price!!!
