My processor speed is 2ghz but its showing 0 8

my processor is amd turion(tm)64*2mobile technology tl-60 2.00ghz.but i checked my pro evolution soccer specification and its showing 0.8ghz,which i cant use in gaming. Am using windows7 but it boots as vista but before then it was difficult for my pc to boot b4 i did system repair..
pls help am using acer travelmate5520.

It has to do with your power options. When the system is idle, the clock speed drops down to 800mhz, but once you begin doing something, then the speed jumps back up.

The only reason it would stay at 800mhz is if you chose "power saver" mode in the power options. If you want it to run at 2ghz the entire time, then change the option to "high performance." It is best to stay with balanced. It will go idle but also speed up when you are running applications.

I downloaded the AMD power monitor from the AMD site, and I can change power modes in the blink of an eye.
