You can see that the front intake fan is a blue LED. Well I think it would look awesome if I had another blue LED right on top of it. I am almost positive I will have room in the 5.25" drive bay, but how do I mount it?
I have the PC-K60 with the narrow window on the side panel. I will be doing the same thing. I just happen to have a spare Coolermaster 4-in-3 bay device that has a 120mm fan. It can accomodate 4 hard drives in the space of 3 external drive bays. I like it better because it can easily fit behind the Dragon Lord's perforated drive bay covers. That will still give me a uniform look in front.
DARN IT! It looks like the particular model I like has been discontinued:
so just to help me clarify.
A device like the cooler master, or the scythe, is inserted into lets say 3 5.25" bays, and the fan that comes with it can be replaced?
Yes! No problem because I am installing the 4-in-3 device in the upper hard drive cage so that it lines up with the cpu heatsink fans and the fan on the rear panel. That will create a wind tunnel effect. I came across that technique years ago when two aeronautical enginners who worked with a wind tunnel at NASA took a look at case fans and cooling. It works for me.
I'm just kicking myself in the pants for not buying more of those plain 4-in-3 bay devices. I only have one left. I guess I'll have to get the new ones and remove the front grill. That way I can preserve the look of the from of my Dragon Lord.
