Hello, I'm a noob when it comes to overclocking, that's why I'm here.
I've an i5-2300 processor, Kingston 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD and a 450W psu.
What i want is to overclock my CPU. It runs fine as it is but i wouldn't mind if it could do a bit more.
So how do I overclock my processor? What hardware/software do I need to do that?

Any help would be much appreciated. Just keep it simple :)

You brought the wrong CPU if you want to overclock, your CPU has a locked multiplier.

The core i5's and i7's with the letter 'K' at the end (E.G 2500K) are the CPU's designed for overclocking.

You could increase the BLCK value from the stock 100 to about a maximum of 106/107 which isnt going to get you much of an overclock. :(
