I need some hints here pl , my rams are 4g DDR3 1333 2x2 total, the mb is gigabyte GA-P41T-D3P which is O.C1333 from stock so I'm wondering what is the prober setting for stable overclocking I tried my own overclocking which was not really much at first I opened my Bios Enabled the CPU Host Clock Control so the CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) went from dim to be able to control which was by default is 333Mhz so I didnt't mess with it my cpu jumped to 3.66Ghz, it was great using the intel fan which was cool I tried couple of games (Crysis 2, BF3, and Dirt3) is was working fine, observing the cpu temp it was cool didn't even reach 55C so life is great then after 2 or 3 days (the O.C was working great), I decided it will nice to add a cpu (cooler master hyper tx3) to my computer, so I bought one, installed it, the temp was not over 42,45C under stress, and the fishy thing happened, for some reason don't know why? maybe God's will I busted my mb I don't want to put you through this stupid thing I did which ended by breaking 3 pins from my LGA775 socket so anyway I went and bought a new one same same mb but this time I changed the ram brand to ADATA, ps: the old ones was Kingston, then I put every thing back in, put the overclock settings on the gear, no new windows, its the same mb so I went for some gaming then it happens, no game is working only couple of min and they crash so I though maybe the different ram brand, so a fresh windows with the O.C settings which didn't take much 10min and I had my windows done ready for use so I installed some programs, its a fresh windows so anyway I installed the games and started playing Bang same thing, they hang after couple of min so what is going on here is my settings was not complete or my hardware is busted!!

Old gear

Intel Core2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.7GHz with cooler master hyper tx3
Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)
1 TB WD Caviar Green
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 SuperClocked 1 GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1
GIGABYTE - GA-P41T-D3P
Case Mid Tower with coolermaster eXtreme Power Plus 600W

New gear
the only change is: ADATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)

When you installed the new RAM did you set the correct latency timings, memory frequency and voltage?
Make sure you stability test your overclocks with a program like prime95 for atleast 8 hours whilst monitoring temps.

Also when the PC crashes do you get a bluescreen of death?

I did get the blue screen 2 times, once in my first try while I was testing with prime95 but after that every thing was running quite smooth then after the new gear I got the blue screen while playing games, after that every game I try it hangs and crash but i don't any blue screens only the games that crashes, for that RAM left the latency timings to auto on the motherboard like that last time!!

Hello, I wanted to overclock my CPU so there is what I went through to get a stable one with no problems but I still get from many overclocking forums that my CPU can be overclocked more so anyway I wanted to share this so if anyone can help my with some pointers or something I missed or overlooked and to provide as much help with my try to OC my E7500.

First I will start with my gear, specially the P41 motherboard, because its kind off....aaa well to be honest a low end MB when it comes to OC. but I tried, and I guess I came with the best it can do!

C2D E7500 @ 2.93GHz, with cooler master hyper tx3 OC @3.520GHz
ADATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10700) @ 667Mhz
1 TB WD Caviar Green
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 SuperClocked 1 GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1
GIGABYTE - GA-P41T-D3P support DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory
Case: Mid Tower with coolermaster eXtreme Power Plus 600W + a 120m case fan

So to ease things up I posted the Bios settings as an attached files, and there are three pointers I would like mark so you can manage a proper OC maybe not stable but it will prevent you from messing the processes. 1. Any energy saving **** shut it off or disable it , 2. Check your MB, processor and Ram manual for default voltages and minimum or maximum so you won't burn thing up. 3. Make sure that your Bios is updated to the latest version. And last there are many varies in overclocking so don't worry about going buy the book here you just try that and this until you reach your stable OC.

These are my Bios settings and my OC info I hope they provide any kind of help!

I know its not much of changes in the Bios but every time I try to change values I get a system halt (Blue screen of death) or I get my games crash while I am playing, maybe I am not changing the right values which each other or something. While on these settings I get no problem, 7 hours on prime95 and Memtest86+ checks out no errors, I am gaming with no problems. The P41T-D3P support DDR3 1333(O.C.) but yet I can't get reach its OC. When I try to set the FSB to (333x11) the memory frequency becomes 1333Mhz but I get the blue screen on prime95.

I don't want to stall but here are the exact info of my OC by AIDA64 Extreme Edition:

CPU Clock: 3520.0 MHz (original: 2933 MHz, overclock: 20%)
CPU Multiplier: 11x
CPU FSB: 320.0 MHz (original: 266 MHz, overclock: 20%)
Memory Bus: 640.0 MHz
DRAM:FSB Ratio: 16:8

I added all this info so it will be more clear, so if anyone would like to help me to adjust some stuff to boost my OC he will be much thanked for his help and I hope I have been much of a help.
