I just figured this out and I was wondering if I bought a PCI-Express 2.0 Card (BFG GeForce 9800 GT OC+ Video Card), would it work on my slot? I've heard that 2.0 is compatible with 1.0 but I need some help?

I have two PCIe 2.0 cards running in PCIe 1.0 slots, so I think you'll be fine.

I am myself running a 9800GT on a PCIE 1.0 slot.Though there is some bandwidth limitations of 1.0 but there will be no significant loss(maybe less than 5%).

It will perform nearly the same as with 2.0 slot.
