Hello,

I've been reading for a while in the forums and I've decided to go for this build:

CPU: Athlon II X2 250 3GHz AM3 2MB
Motherboard: AMD Asus M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 DDR3 PCX HD4200 HDMI ATX
Memory: 2GB DDR3 1333 Kingston CL9
Hard Disk: 500 GB SATA2 Seagate 7200.12 16MB Barracuda

If you catch anything out of place, please send a suggestion. I'll mainly use this build for running Linux, watching movies, surf webs and do some document editing.

Thanks in advance!

^ That is a good budget setup...
And you can save some money going with these...
X2 240 - Would save you about $14...You can easily overclock the 240 to 3GHz with just 2 or 3 clicks...I had built a PC for my sis with the X2 240 and I was easily able to get it to 3GHz with just increasing the base frequency on an ASRock board...

Mobo - The mobo that you have linked has 2x PCIe 2.0 slots, but the 2nd slot would of be no use at all as it is crippled at x4 mode...So you can rather get this mobo...
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 AMD 785G

HDD - You can even check out the Samsung F3 500GB...It is cheaper than the Seagate option...and is just as good...
So you do save some money without any compromise on performance...
